Liverpool Scrap Retreat

Last weekend my friend and I attended a weekend

scrap retreat. So much fun! We are looking forward to the

next one. :):)

These are the cards we made at the card class.

We made two of each card. :)

These are the layouts I completed at the crop.

Still need to do journaling on this one.

This one needs a title. Any suggestions????

Need to do the journaling.

Me! Notice the stray wonky piece of hair? LOL

I was full of static ... it was crazy.

Some of the supplies for sale.

This is Sue .... she hosted the event. :)

Our room. Very nice and VERY comfy beds!

This card is based on a Pagemaps card sketch.

Productive Day

Paula and I attended a day crop on Saturday in

New Ross. I was quite happy to complete my recipe cards

for a recipe swap (12 in total) and complete 2 layouts.

Hopefully the weather will co-operate and we'll be

able to attend the next day crop in February.

Maybe .... :O

I would love to make this set.

(Minus the tassels)

Once I am a bit more confident with the

needles then I may try this.

Using the same colors too, my fave colors.

I will be sending this card to Aaron's Ma

for all her help with knitting.

Learning to Knit

Thanks to Aaron's Ma, I am learning to knit. :) It's something

that I've wanted to learn for awhile now. I had picked up some books

but couldn't get anywhere with them. I needed someone to actually

show me how to do the stitches, how to cast on and cast off.

This is my first project, just straight knitting. Easy but good for practise.

Then I decided to go all crazy and combine stitches and

learn to follow a pattern. This one didn't turn out the best

but it's ok.

My next attempt at using a pattern and diferent stitches.

A little bit better. :)

card sketch challenge

Love this pagemaps card sketch posted by

Gloria for the bi-weekly challenge. :)

Altered Projects

A bit late posting these .... these were Christmas gifts.

I also made 2 BG calendar kits and a mini album which

I didn't take pictures of. :(

Obviously, this was for my fiance. It is a picture frame

which I got from the dollarstore. The little stand came with it.

Of course, it is much sparklier IRL.

This hanging wood piece also came from a Dollarama.

I only picked up one and now I am kicking my butt for not

picking up more.

This was for my Best Friend. :) And she Loves it. :)

Christmas Cards

I think I am finally done making my christmas cards.

I love this Thomas Kinkade stamp. :) I will have to

start hunting around for more of his stamps.

I made 20 cards using this stamp and 15 of the penquin,

which I think is too cute. :)

My take on the sketch!

For the wand I used a toothpick and attached a

star.

Happy Birthday Gee!

Can't believe my girl is 18.

Where has the time gone? sniff, sniff

Her birthday gift ... a new laptop.

Me and Gee!

Make a Wish!

Layouts .... Finally!

It seems like forever since I have done a layout!

Completed these at a scrappy weekend at Old Orchard Inn!

Some more cards done for a card sketch challenge

posted by Gloria. :)

Sorry for the crappy pictures, it is very hard to get a

good picture today. It is rainy, dreary and blah. It's been like

this since Thurdday and next week doesn't look any

better. We need some sun soon, it's getting depressing. lol

Been Awhile.... Oh My....

Wow! I can't believe how long it's been since I have posted.

Shame on me. LOL

Hopefully now that my work season is done I will be able

to play more and post more. :)

To start off I completed 2 cards for a card sketch challenge

posted by Gloria at Cdn. Scrap n Chat.

Once again, Thanks Gloria. :):)

Also, it is my first attempt at using copic markers.

And yes, they are fun and I love them.

Catching Up ......

Another card sketch challenge that I am late posting.

Sorry Gloria. :(

Late, Late, Late .....

I am VERY late posting these. :(

Here is another great card sketch posted by Gloria

at Canadian Scrap N Chat.

I made 3 cards using this sketch. I needed some birthday cards.

The monkey is a paper piecing project I did.

I got the pattern from Scrapbooks, Etc.

I love him. :) He is too cute.
