Scrapping Out Loud blog challenge

This was a split complimentary color wheel challenge.
The colors I chose are blue, red and orange.
I am very happy with how this layout turned out.
I was a bit uncertain when I read the challenge
and checked out the colors, these are not
colors I normally use. Hence, that is why
it is a challenge. LOL
And with a picture of Jake, any layout will
be cute. :)
My layout is also based on a sketch they provided.
And the word of the week: Laughter

Mix It Up - Mixer #12

for your layout, ie- as the title or in the
journaling, etc.

Seussism Challenge

This was a fun challenge posted at
LIITD. You had to use a quote or a
book title by Dr. Seuss on your layout.

Bi-weekly card sketch challenge

Another fun card sketch posted by Gloria at
Canadian Scrap-n-Chat.
Not a good picture, it's overcast and dreary here
today ... blah!

XOXO

My layout for Lisa's
Elsie Flannigan recipe challenge,
at LIITD.
Isn't he just the cutest valentine ever. :)

Scrapping Out Loud blog challenge

Song Title/Lyrics challenge
For this one you had to use a line or
phrase from the song "That's what
friends are for."
Word of the week: Embrace
My layout is based on a sketch they provided.
I just flipped the sketch. :)
Also, the very cool and funky kitty
I made from a paper piecing pattern that I got from
Scrapbooks Etc. I think he is just
toooo cute. :)

Mix It Up Blog - Mixer #11

This challenge was a design challenge....
you had to use pictures of inanimate objects.
Also, the title had to be a phrase with at least
6 words.
My layout is based on a sketch provided.

ANd you had to use stars.

Mix It Up Blog challenge - Mixer #9

This was a recycle challenge. I used some
clear plastic packaging and embossed it with
the swiss dots embossing folder, which I then
used for the wings and the heart. I put black cs
behind the heart to make it show up better.
For some reason I can not get a decent
picture of this layout ... grrrr!
Maybe it's time for a new camera.
Also, my LO is based on a sketch they provided.

Scrapping Out Loud blog challenge

For this challenge you had to do a layout about yourself.
Me, Right Now.
This is a first for me. I have never done a
layout about myself that had a picture
of just me. So this was new, and it was fun.
So, I would just like to say
"Thank You" to the girls at Scrapping Out Loud
for the challenge to do this. :)
Word of the week: Believe

Lori's Weekly Challenge #6 at LIITD

This weeks challenge was to combine old and new products.
As you can tell, my pp is VERY old and the light pink squares
are CM stickers. The rest is newer stuff. :)
I am really happy to be getting pages done for
my daughters baby album. I mean, she is
16 and I don't have this done. Shame on me. LOL

Cdn. Scrap-n-Chat - card sketch challenge

I love the card sketch challenges that Gloria posts bi-weekly.
She always pick out really nice sketches. :)
This card was inspired by a card from SplitcoastStampers,
that Tammy had posted on the board. I loved
the idea of using metalic rub on paints on the
embossed images. Very cool. And a
wonderful effect.

Altered coaster swap

at Cdn. Scrap-n-chat. This coaster is
now a fridge magnet.
I painted both sides white and used
stickles around the edge. :)
I may just make one for myself. :)

What I've been doing for the past few weeks ....

Moving. What a process, even though it is one I am used to. I only moved about 10 minutes from where I was originally but it was a move for the best. :) Moving day went smoothly except for hauling all my stuff up 30 steps .... talk about jelly legs by the time we were done. It was crazy. My legs still are not used to all those steps ... lol. Hopefully soon.
I am now for the most part finished ... I'll still find things to do here and there for awhile. I'm not 100% satisfied with it yet. But, at least now I can take some time to sit down and scrap. I've missed some fun challenges :( but I am ready to go now. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow. :)

The u-haul i rented and filled. Crazy what a person has.

My bedroom - before

my bedroom - after. I still have lots of re-organizing to do.

the kitchen - after & before.

Gee's room ... not done yet.
