Week #6
This weeks host was Amber.
For this challenge, a supply list is
given and then each day for a week

So DIstressed Out! challenge
Distressing is so hot right now in the scrapbooking world, and it's so much more fun than stressing! So how about using some distressing on this weeks LO! That's right, we'd like to see your LO with some distressing somewhere, could be a lot could be a little!
My layout is based on a sketch they provided.

Mix It Up Blog - Mixer #25

Mixer #25 was a color challenge -
You had to create a monochromatic layout
with the color white!
At first I thought this was going to be
very tough but as I started looking
through my stuff I was finding the
perfect goodies to use. I am VERY pleased with
this LO. I love it. I may even frame it
and hang it up. lol
The picture does not show it really well
but there is journaling on the strips.
It is very overcast and dreary here today so it
is hard to get a good picture. It looks so
much better IRL. ( You can click on the
picture for a close up)
My layout is based on a sketch they provided as well.

I plan to try it again. :)

Scrapping Out Loud blog challenge

Taking advantage of my day off. :)
This weeks challenge is "All about Mom".
You had to create a LO about your mom, or being a mom,
or a sister, etc.
My layout is not entirely based on the
sketch provided but I used elements from
the sketch ... like the doodling. :)
My picture is mounted on top of a
envelope, with a card inside.

Lori's weekly challenge #14

The challenge for this week was to use as much white
as possible for embellies, etc.
Since I liked the color purple from the other
challenge I decided to try it with white.

Scrapping Out Loud blog challenge

Color Shy challenge.
For this challenge you had to create a layout
using colors that you never use. For me,
purple and green are colors that I never go for.
After finishing this layout I liked the color
enough to do another layout with it. LOL
My layout is based on a sketch provided
but tweaked a bit so I could have lots of room
to journal.

Mix It Up blog - Mixer #16

This was a design challenge - use rubons in a
original fashion on your layout.
Everything on my layout is rubons. :)

For my Mom

My Mom requested a birthday card with a black flower
and a owl. LOL She was looking at one of my layouts and
saw the flower and owl and loved it. She said the she
really wanted a b'day card with them on it.
So this is what I made her. :)

This altered circle frame was done for a challenge at
LIITD and also for my Mom for her b'day.
It's hard to see but there are 2 beads at the end of
the antenna on the big butterfly which I attached to wire.
There are stickles on the big butterfly too and the
fairy. The two smaller butterflies are covered
with dazzling diamonds.

Lori's weekly challenge #13

For this weeks challenge you had to use multiple pictures
and a variety of colors.

Scrapping Out Loud blog challenge

Grid Locked Challenge
I had a really hard time trying to get a good
picture of this layout ... not sure why but it still looks dark even though I took
the picture this morning .... lets say about 20 pictures and still
couldn't get a good one. grrrrr.
For this challenge you had to use a "grid" technique
to create a layout. This was a great way for me
to use up rub ons and little embellies.

Lori's Weekly Challenge #12 at Love Is In the Details

This weeks challenge was to pick a layout
from the gallery and scraplift it.
This is my scraplift. I chose a layout
by tutusandfrogs ... it's a adorable layout.
I didn't put a title on this one, not sure
if it needs it and nothing catchy comes to mind
for it.

Sunday, April 12, 2009

Scrapping Out Loud blog challenge

This was a "Mix It Up" challenge.
You had to use 3 different pp.
The title is my own handwriting. :)

Lori's Weekly Challenge #11 at LIITD

I can't believe we are on week #11.
Only 4 more to go.
For this challenge you had to use rub ons.
Which is something I rarely do. I have
them but never use them. I always
seem to mess them up. LOL

PageMaps blog contest

What's on "My Mind's Eye" contest
and a fabulous sketch.
You had to create a LO about
what's on your mind. Of course, for
me, it's scrappin' .. on my mind
24/7. LOL
I chose to do a 8 1/2 x 11 LO.
I used stickles on the flower at the bottom
of the picture. And on the dots on the strip
by the lace pp.
My title 24/7 is pieces of a
tape measure ... picked these up at
the dollarstore ... 3/pkg.

Imagine

This layout was done for a challenge at
LIITD's on-line crop.
You had to choose between 2 different rubber
boots as inspiration for your layout.
The boot I chose was grey with a bit of
black and white and red.
very cool rubber boots :)
