It's Spring at The East Wind Blog

Challenge #3 at The East Wind Blog is 

Spring!

It certainly doesn't feel like Spring

in my neck of the woods :)

but making a spring card does help make it seem 

like spring. :)

The image I used is from East Wind,

Aurora Floral Kiss!

And it's a freebie, how awesome is that.

I colored her face with copic markers.

As you can see I am just learning and I

have a long way to go to get better.

The rest of the image I colored with

colored pencils and I added some glitter

here and there to the flowers.

Added a bow using bakers twine and

put a pearl in the center of the bow.

What little boy doesn't like robots?

This image is perfect for a little boys card.

I colored the image with colored pencils.

I did add a little glitter to the balloons

and the robots buttons, it is hard to see.

I just added a washer, attaching with some

bakers twine. The green paper is embossed

using the cuttlebug.

PERFECT for a litle boy!

I colored the image with colored pencils and copics.

I added bling on various spots on the card

and to center of each little camera.

The little camera is a tiny stamp.

And of course some sparkle on her glasses.

Even though it is hard to see, the image is 

popped off the paper with pop dots.

Easy to do with the wonderful flower images

For this challenge I chose the image

Daisies and Butterfly.

The possibilities are endless with this image.

Here is my entry for the challenge:

I used colored pencils for the leaves and

center of the flowers and the butterfly.

And YES, I did some fussy cutting with the

image and then placed it on a background

that I stamped with a word stamp and yellow ink.

I also printed a 2nd image so I could cut out the

butterfly and layer it on top of the other butterfly.

Here is my entry using a image from this store called

Rite of Spring.

I LOVE this image!!

This is a gift for my daughter so that is how I decided on the

colors. :) This is one of her favorite color combos.

I colored the image with colored pencils!

The frame I used was a dark brown so I altered

it by covering it with paper and using a stencil to ink on

the circles. Then I just added a swirl die cut and a stamped

flower that I cut out and then added a gem.

Sorry for the crappy picture but we are

having a BLIZZARD now so lighting isn't the best.

I used colored pencils to color the image.

I added some glitter to various spots

and some glossy accents to her lips.

Which is hard to see. :(
