Birthday card

A birthday card for my grandmother,

who is turing 90 tomorrow. :)

I decided to give the Tri-fold card a try.

I'm not really happy with it but it's done.

Took me most of the day to make it. LOL

My layout is not entirely based on the

sketch provided but I used elements from

the sketch ... like the doodling. :)

envelope, with a card inside.

Lori's weekly challenge #14

The challenge for this week was to use as much white

as possible for embellies, etc.

Since I liked the color purple from the other

challenge I decided to try it with white.

Color Shy challenge.

For this challenge you had to create a layout

using colors that you never use. For me,

purple and green are colors that I never go for.

After finishing this layout I liked the color

enough to do another layout with it. LOL

My layout is based on a sketch provided

but tweaked a bit so I could have lots of room

to journal.

A little something for my Aunt ...

I got crafty today and made some gifts for my Aunt

for her b'day. A altered coaster with a magnet on back,

2 altered clothes pins with magnets on back and a

altered mini notebook to match. :)

This layout was done for a challenge at LIITD.

By the Numbers challenge ...

The challenge was to create a layout

using up a bunch of number stickers.

I had a lot of fun making this one. :)

I am quite happy with how it turned out.

Mix It Up blog - Mixer #16

This was a design challenge - use rubons in a

original fashion on your layout.

Everything on my layout is rubons. :)

For my Mom

My Mom requested a birthday card with a black flower

and a owl. LOL She was looking at one of my layouts and

saw the flower and owl and loved it. She said the she

really wanted a b'day card with them on it.

So this is what I made her. :)

This altered circle frame was done for a challenge at

LIITD and also for my Mom for her b'day.

It's hard to see but there are 2 beads at the end of

the antenna on the big butterfly which I attached to wire.

There are stickles on the big butterfly too and the

fairy. The two smaller butterflies are covered

with dazzling diamonds.

For this weeks challenge you had to use multiple pictures

and a variety of colors.

Grid Locked Challenge

I had a really hard time trying to get a good

picture of this layout ... not sure why but it still looks dark even though I took

the picture this morning .... lets say about 20 pictures and still

couldn't get a good one. grrrrr.

For this challenge you had to use a "grid" technique

to create a layout. This was a great way for me

to use up rub ons and little embellies.

For this challenge you has to use the word

"taboo" as inspiration for your layout.

This really was a challenge for me. LOL

I spent about a week running ideas around in

my head. And this is what I came up with.

if it needs it and nothing catchy comes to mind

for it.

what's on your mind. Of course, for

me, it's scrappin' .. on my mind

24/7. LOL

I chose to do a 8 1/2 x 11 LO.

I used stickles on the flower at the bottom

of the picture. And on the dots on the strip

by the lace pp.

My title 24/7 is pieces of a

tape measure ... picked these up at

the dollarstore ... 3/pkg.

This layout was done for a challenge at

LIITD's on-line crop.

You had to choose between 2 different rubber

boots as inspiration for your layout.

The boot I chose was grey with a bit of

black and white and red.

Mix It Up - Mixer #13

For this challenge you had to choose

between 3 different Dr. Seuss bookcovers and

use it as inspiration for your layout.

You also had to use a Dr. Seuss quote.

The bookcover I chose was:

My layout is based on a sketch they provided.

If you look close at the pictures you can

see how Jaleesa took these pictures

reflecting from the silver side of a helium balloon.

very cool effect. :)

This card is my favorite. :)

I found the sun stamp at the Dollarstore. I love it.

I used stickles on the flowers and leaves.

Used my watercolor pencils to color in

the cute little fox. Love that stamp.

This is not my usual pick of colors but

I wanted to have a different look to kind of go with

the show Paranormal State, KWIM? LOL

It sure was nice to use some very old

BG paper, tags, and embellies. :)
